UKIP: Paul Wiffen is suspended as UKIP's London Chairman

It just gets worse for UKIP. Paul Nuttall has suspended Paul Wiffen - UKIP's London chairman - after he made racist comments on a website. Paul Wiffen is the one on the left!

But isn’t the odious Nuttall being somewhat hypocritical?

Paul Wiffen’s comments are rather tame when compared to some of the statements made by UKIP’s allies in the EFD. But we don't hear Nuttall calling on them to be suspended from the group! See: LINK

It is interesting to note that more and more journalists in the UK and Brussels are now referring to UKIP as a far-right party. One even joked to a member of the Junius Team that the BNP was starting to look tame in comparison!

Paul Wiffen - along with the mysterious Tim - is one of Gerard Batten's staunchest supporters. Gerard won't be happy. But Nigel Farage will be VERY happy. There is certainly no love lost between Gerard and Nigel. Anything that undermines Gerard is alright by Nigel! See: LINK

Paul is a musician and film maker. He has worked with George Harrison and Paul McCartney.

Wiffen first stood for UKIP in the West Central constituency at the London Assembly Elections in May 2008. He begun his UKIP career as Social Secretary for the West London branch.

He was elected UKIP Chairman of London Region in November 2008. He was also the subject of our very first entry on this blog! LINK

UKIP chief posts racist comment on Community Care

A senior UK Independence Party member has posted a racist comment on Community Care.

In response to a post by Community Care's Outside Left blogger on asylum, Paul Wiffen – who is chair of UKIP London and a parliamentary candidate, said:

"You left-wing scum are all the same, wanting to hand our birthright to Romanian gypsies who beat their wives and children into begging and stealing money they can gamble with, Muslim nutters who want to kill us and put us all under medieval Sharia law, the same Africans who sold their Afro-Caribbean brothers into a slavery that Britain was the first to abolish (but you still want to apologize for!)"

Wiffen, who is standing as an MP in Ilford South at the next election, continued:

"Worry about where we are going to live and grow food, you wanker, not the UKIP policy that might just save your worthless skin!"

Wiffen, who stood as an MEP for Scotland in 2009, also said:

"Britain is full, you prat! Even your scummy, illiterate Grauniad admits it! In the circumstances, I think 'get lost' is positively polite. 'Go forth and multiply' elsewhere would be my wording."

Mike McNabb, Outside Left blogger, said:

"This is a worrying development as UKIP has always claimed to be an anti-racist party. This post shows them in their true colours. Wiffen should do the honourable thing and stand down."

Mike Gapes, MP for Illford South, said:

"Ilford South and Redbridge as a whole is a model of co-operation between faiths and a successful diverse vibrant community where migrants from all over the world and Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs and people of no faith live side-by-side in harmony.

"There is an unpleasant whiff about Mr Wiffen. I suggest he goes back to West London. We do not want BNP-lite extremism and poison here."

Community Care is awaiting a response from UKIP.

The Conservative Party said it did not want to comment.

And now the odious Nuttall's response:

UKIP chief suspended over racist rant on Community Care

UK Independence Party chief Paul Wiffen has been suspended following his racist rant on Community Care.

A statement issued by UKIP last night said:

"UKIP would like to apologise to Mike McNabb [Community Care's Outside Left blogger] and everyone else who must have been deeply offended by this unacceptable outburst, which is wholly at variance with UKIP's views and policies.

"The chairman Paul Nuttall has suspended Mr Wiffen. The matter has now been passed to the party secretary to initiate disciplinary proceedings."

Wiffen was chair of UKIP London and a parliamentary candidate for Ilford South.
