UKIP NEC election incompetence and loutish behaviour

Note the year!

NEC Elections

And so the UKIP NEC elections are almost upon us! The usual Farage sycophants are there! Wolfman McGough is trying to get another chance to kiss Nigel's arse at every opportunity and Toby Micklethwait is hoping yet again to win favour. He claims to be against Farage but don't you believe it! Don't be silly enough to voice any criticism of Nigel if Toby's around because you can be sure that it will get straight back to the Fuhrer! The only candidate worthy of election is Chris Pain.

We note that UKIP's leadership think 2013 is actually 2012. Brings to mind that old saying about not being able to organise a p*ss up in brewery. Remember the London elections fiasco? UKIP failed to put the party's name on the ballot paper. And these chumps want to run the country!

UKIP MEP louts

Interesting article but tell us something that we didn't know! Just a pity they forgot to mention those UKIP MEPs who just can't resist visiting certain 'ladies of the night'.

Some UKIP members are ‘hooligans’ – claims ECR vice-president

by Justin Stares
30 January 2013

Certain British Eurosceptics are ‘dangerous when drunk’, claims an ally of David Cameron’s Conservative Party in Brussels. PublicServiceEurope.com reports

Britain’s United Kingdom Independence Party – or UKIP as it now prefers to be known – is full of “hooligans” and “bar fighters”, alleged a vice president of one of the European Parliament’s political groups on Tuesday. Some of UKIP’s Eurosceptic MEPs “are against everything in the European Union apart from the money and the allowances they get themselves,” according to Derk-Jan Eppink MEP, vice-president of the European Conservatives and Reformists – the group that is home to Britain’s Conservative Party MEPs.

Talking at a conference organised by the Association of European Journalists – Eppink, a former journalist and one-time European Commission cabinet member, gave UKIP’s Brussels contingent both barrels. It was important for people know “what they are like”, he claimed. “If they get drunk they get very dangerous,” was one of the allegations he put to a gathering at the Brussels Press Club.

“They present themselves as white knights but they are not.” If UKIP MEPs did any work, it was usually “appalling”, he alleged.

British Eurosceptics often did not bother to turn up at committees or parliament plenary sessions. Centre-right parties have on occasion been “one or two votes short of stopping the left” in key votes that were lost because UKIP MEPs were “not there”, it was said. And UKIP was a party of “vox-pop politicians” with “no grassroots support”, Eppink claimed when continuing his diatribe. Eurosceptics took European funding and “funnelled it into their party”, he added, and UKIP’s parliamentary members often flitted between parties or found themselves “investigated” – he suggested.

Debating Europe with UKIP supporters often turned into an “aggressive” exchange involving “abusive language”, said Eppink. “They are sort of hooligans,” he told the gathering “apart from Nigel Farage” – the UKIP leader. And UKIP supporters and British Eurosceptics in general were “hard to convince with facts and figures”, said Eppink, a Dutchman who has crossed over into Belgian politics. “A positive agenda is very hard to sell,” he said – a problem he predicted would face British Prime Minister David Cameron if and when he campaigns for the UK to remain in the EU ahead of a referendum.

Eppink’s venting of the spleen seemed to have been fuelled in part by what he described as “a very unpleasant dinner” in the UK that descended into a shouting match with a British academic. “I discovered afterwards that he was linked to UKIP,” Eppink said. He often travelled to Britain at the invitation of British Tory MEPs in the ECR group, he said, visiting towns such as Nottingham “where I would never go as a tourist”.

The Tories in the ECR group were almost all in favour of remaining in the 27-member bloc, he claimed; citing both personal contacts and Twitter feeds as evidence. Only Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan was likely to vote for the UK to withdraw, he predicted. Cameron’s Europe speech earlier this month was, in Eppink’s opinion, an attempt to regain ground lost to UKIP. The British PM was “asking questions other leaders were afraid to ask”, he said, such as whether Europe could continue with its current “one size fits all” approach; or whether it should adopt a more flexible à la carte formation.

A piecemeal approach to European integration was in reality already taking shape, he pointed out. In addition to the Schengen free movement area, the eurozone, and the various opt-outs enjoyed by countries such as the UK, Denmark and Ireland, Brussels law-makers were increasingly resorting to “enhanced cooperation” – a process by which a group of nine or more member states can forge ahead with laws of their own. “Without flexibility the EU will not work,” said Eppink, who described himself as a Euroscepetic in Brussels but a Europhile in the UK.

Issuing a strong rebuttal to Eppink’s criticisms of UKIP, party spokesman Gawain Towler said: “I wonder if Mr Eppink’s speech was made ‘after lunch’. It seems a little intemperate. UKIP of course is not in the European Parliament to tinker round the edges but to work to get the UK out of the EU. That Cameron has offered a referendum is a small victory, that Dirk-Jan believes that 24 out of 25 Tory MEPs will vote to stay in the EU, rather makes our point about that party.”

Eppink became a well-known figure in Brussels following the success of his book Life of a European Mandarin, which lifted the lid on the workings of the European Commission. In it he describes the shenanigans of lobbyists and officials and underlines the extent to which key decisions are made out of the public eye. He served in the cabinets of former Dutch Commissioner Frits Bolkestein and Siim Kallas, the current European Transport Commissioner.

UKIP and the EU Referendum: The hypocrisy of Nigel Farage

It seems that the UKIP press office's traditional fondness for unnecessary commas is as strong as ever, but even without the 5 commas, the first sentence of this press release is appalling. This is not the way to impress journalists, chaps!

But if you want to really give the editors a good laugh, what you do is you send out your press release, and then follow it up with an amendment 30 minutes later.

Here is the original.......

The genie is out of the bottle

Responding to David Cameron’s speech this morning, that offered an In/Out referendum that takes place, after the 2015 parliamentary elections, conditional on negotiations with the EU to reclaim powers, Nigel Farage MEP, the UKIP leader said,

“What the PM said today has defined the national debate about our place in the European Union. No longer can the case for British withdrawal be confined to the margins. The genie is out of the bottle”.

He went on to say,

“Whilst UKIP, regards todays speech as its greatest achievement to date, the real work for our party has only just begun”.

“The PM has made clear his commitment to the EU Single Market, which will now become the rallying point for the old establishment in this country. Our job will be to point out that argument for the Single Market, is just the same as one used for the Common Market years ago”.

We will campaign for a trade deal with Europe, to cooperate and to be good neighbours but we do not want membership of a political union”.

And here is the amendment......

"UKIP Leader Nigel Farage also questioned whether Mr Cameron was completely devoted to taking powers back from Europe or whether his pledge was merely a ploy for election votes.

Farage continued: "If Mr Cameron was really serious about renegotiation, then he would invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which is the only mechanism that exists within the treaties to take powers back.

"If he did that ... I will take him seriously, but really I think all he is trying to do is to kick the can down the road and get Ukip off his back."

Aside from the grossly amateurish way in which this was presented to the press, this raises questions about Farage's commitment to a referendum. So he wants the Prime Minister to invoke Article 50 before the British people have had their say in a referendum? And note the way he claims credit for Cameron's announcement on a referendum. Hypocrite!

David Cameron promises an IN/OUT referendum and Farage claims the credit!

I'll do anything for publicity. Can I claim that Winston Churchill learnt it all from my Grandfather?

So Cameron has finally succumbed to pressure from his own party and promised an IN/OUT referendum on Britain's membership of the EU ....... if the Tories get re-elected. And about time!

And who do you think is claiming credit for Cameron's u-turn? Nigel Farage, that's who! What arrogance! Farage has been an MEP since 1999 and has advanced the anti-EU cause not one inch in all that time! Mind you, Farage has been good at lining his own pockets thanks to the EU! Indeed, he's now a very rich man thanks to the very thing that he claims to hate!

Last year, Cameron was rattled by his backbench revolt over the EU - LINK. Our readers will remember that the debate was as a direct consequence of Nikki Sinclaire's referendum campaign - LINK

Nigel, who was it who collected 220,000 signatures, forced a debate in the Commons, and provoked a back-bench revolt, all of which required great effort and some financial cost?

Nigel, words actually count for little unless they are backed up with deeds. So where were you when all this was happening? Making speeches in Brussels that no one was listening to, getting drunk in bars, claiming huge sums in EU expenses, etc, etc.

Sorry Nigel, but you had nothing to do with it! You even declined to sign Nikki's petition until you were confronted by her in London. And only because the media were filming you! And that was after the original petition was handed in to Number 10!

Let us not forget that Farage even told members not to sign Nikki's petition because it was a waste of time! Indeed, two UKIP MEPs admitted that they had been instructed not to sign it!

And do you remember UKIP's own feeble and half-hearted attempt at raising a petition? It achieved nothing - apart, that is, from an expenditure of a substantial six figure sum. Now where did that money go? Nigel, can you enlighten us?

We now see that the Daily Express is also claiming credit for the referendum! Laughable!

So UKIP's reason for existence now comes to an end. Bye, bye UKIP! No wonder the odious Paul Nuttall looks worried!

UKIP backs the BNP in quest for extra funding!

An interesting article can be found on the Political Scrapbook website. You can read it by clicking HERE.

We note that UKIP MEPs have been ORDERED not to oppose the BNP in their attempt to get extra funding in the European parliament.

Of course, UKIP were quick to spin their way out of trouble by claiming that:

“It must be understood that UKIP is opposed both constitutionally and as a matter of policy to ANY form of discrimination.”

Oh really? So why do UKIP MEPs happily sit alongside fascists and racists in the EFD Group? See:

Also see - LINK - for details of FARAGE'S infamous meeting with Tony "the bomber" Lecomber and Mark Deavin, head of research for the BNP.

UKIP's far-right links are now proving of great interest to the media. We can confirm that a TV production company is putting together a programme detailing UKIP's far-right links/ financial irregularities even as we write this!

Gary Cartwright on UKIP and the last dictatorship

UKIP: The Last Dictatorship?

I don't know Olly Neville, the chap who was fired from UKIP for legitimately stating his personal opinion on gay marriage, but his article in the Huffington Post held no surprises for me. We appear to have some shared experiences.

According to the UKIP rulebook, he was entitled to express his personal opinion, even where it is contrary to perty policy (which is basically whatever Nigel farage says it is.)

The only thing that surprises me in all this is the number of chumps who are still taken in by this messianic scam.

The majority of people support the concept of equal marriage, at least in principle. This means, of course, that UKIP must oppose it. You do not have to be a political scientist to realise that you cannot win a majority from a minority constituency, but that is not what it is all about, is it? It is about tomorrow's headlines, and media profile. Not for the party, but for the Vozhd.

Olly Neville, judging by his article and from speaking to one or two UKIP members who have met him, appears to be intelligent and articulate, which means he had to be taken out. Too much of a threat, you see. Can't have a chap expressing his own ideas like that (although apparently it ok for some to do so).

I am told that UKIP is Britain's third party. I don't quite understand the math there. Lib Dems, the Tories, Labour, the Greens, SNP, DUP, Ulster Unionists, Plaid Cymru, Sinn Fein, all have MPs in Westminster. UKIP has none. So how does that put them in third place?

Of course there was Bob Spink MP, who took the UKIP whip for about 10 minutes until he realised what the game was and bailed out pronto.

The party is clearly undemocratic, and therefore there should be no place for it in British politics.

UKIP snippets - Crowther, Towler, Neville and Farage

Steve Crowther on Any Questions

Is there anyone who thinks that Steve Crowther - Farage sycophant and wannabe MEP - would make a good elected representative of the British people? Then they should have listened to his shambolic appearance on Any Questions!

Crowther has never been known for his intellectual qualities and that soon became VERY apparent when the subject of Olly Neville came up! Crowther bumbled, Crowther waffled, Crowther stumbled. But his evasive tactics failed to impress. He then finally had to admit that he had sacked Mr Neville.

Crowther's ONLY ability is a willingness to do exactly as he is told. Farage knows that he's desperate to become an MEP and would sell his own grandmother for advancement in the party. Farage chooses his sycophants well!

We just pity members in the SW who may face the prospect of this cretin being their number two candidate in the MEP elections!

Ollygate

The Olly Neville saga continues to rumble on! Richard Lowe, UKIP's PPC for Chester, was forced to resign after local party leaders said they would not campaign for "anyone who publicly supports same sex marriage". LINK

And how we laugh at the odious and disgusting Gwain Towler's attempts to spin UKIP out of this whole sordid business! And how ironic that Towler is the one forced to do Nigel's dirty work when it comes to handling the media! How it must stick in Towler's throat to condemn Mr Neville for his stance on gay marriage! After all, is not Mr Towler bisexual?

And let's not forget that Towler is hardly the sort of person that any self respecting party would want as their spokesman, let alone UKIP's moral guardian! He has more skeletons in his cupboard than Dr Frankenstein!

As Dr Eric Edmond has pointed out in his blog:

"there were serious and potentially UKIP national campaign busting allegations made about Mr Towler. The SWRCC, on whose list Towler appeared as number 3 held a long meeting that I was asked to recuse myself from which I did. That meeting voted for Towler to stand down as a UKIP candidate. It went to the NEC where Farage had Towler reinstated on the SW slate. That is what Farage means by democracy in EUKIP. You do and say what Nigel wants."

"Documentation concerning these allegations still exists. It may surface this time."
LINK

In the money

Nigel's begging letter

And so the Fuhrer has sent out yet another begging letter to the membership! We advise UKIPPERS to reject Farage's call for money UNTIL he tells them just how much he's donated to the party fighting fund himself. And why not ask him about that £211,000 that 'vanished' from the SE accounts? And how about a request for an audit of that £2 million he claimed in expenses as an MEP?

UKIP fails to deliver

Why do certain sections of the British media still try to insult the intelligence of the British media when it comes to UKIP? Apparently, UKIP is now the UK's third party. Oh really?

The facts

An average of 3.3 % of the vote in the last twelve by-elections.

NO MPs in Westminster. Olly Neville pointed this out - along with his support for gay marriage - and got the push.

NO members in the Welsh Assembly.

NO members in the Scottish Parliament.

NO members in the London Assembly.

NO elected mayors or police chiefs.

No members in the Northern Irish Assembly.

Directly elected councillors don't even run into three figures.

More non-members than current members.

A minuscule youth wing.

Lead by an MEP based in Brussels.

The only party to be reliant on the EU for financial survival.

UKIP as the UK's third party? Don't make us laugh! No wonder David Cameron rejected Farage's demand for a place in the cabinet in exchange for UKIP supporting the Tories! Nigel was hoping to keep that one quiet! Sorry Nigel, but certain Tories couldn't resist telling us!

See Richard North's excellent blog for his incisive comments regarding Farage and UKIP: LINK

Democracy in UKIP

UKIP's leadership. Also known as The Walking Dead

Hold an election with Lisa 'scuffy' Duffy as RO - a woman with the brains of a housefly. Don't get the result you expect. Cancel the election. Then get Steve 'make me an MEP' Crowther to claim it never happened. Even Hitler didn't do that! Just ask Olly Neville!

Olly Neville in his words

From the Huffington Post:

I'd never been attacked by a political party before, not until I was fired as Chairman of UKIP's youth wing for supporting Equal Marriage. The attacks aren't as scary or as powerful as you might fear, but then that might be because it is UKIP.

The attacks seem as inconsistent as UKIP's policy on Equal Marriage itself: You weren't fired for supporting Equal Marriage it was for, er, something else. You were fired for misrepresenting the party's policy on gay marriage. You were fired for supporting drug legalisation and you were fired because your very libertarian.

In a wonderfully patronising article, Janice Atkinson tries to do all of these at once. She also makes the pitfall of trying to claim she loves young people in politics while constantly calling them kids, and claiming equally that 'kids' shouldn't be silenced, but then they should if they disagree.

So if you will indulge me (I am as bored of this subject as anyone but if UKIP members keep wanting to 'set the record straight' I will probably have to keep correcting them) I will, hopefully once and for all set out what happened.

I was elected YI Chairman after the resignation of Harry Aldridge in November 2012, as former YI Yorkshire Chairman Arnie Craven (who supported the other candidate in the election) notes the National Executive Committee of UKIP cancelled the election after the votes were already in (and after voting had been open for a week) claiming a lack of rules. If my election was invalid so was every single election in YI's history, but that was calmly ignored.

With almost 2/3rds of the vote and the largest ever support in terms of absolute numbers it is a bit cheeky of UKIP to claim I had no mandate. The YI council in the end co-opted me as Chairman using the votes as a 'consultation exercise'

I was then put on the World at One by the Party to talk about the rise of Young Independence. When asked about my opinion on Equal Marriage I stated UKIP policy and then stated my own opinion, which according to the UKIP rule book I was entitled to do '

L.12 UKIP candidates, elected members and officials are entitled to disagree with official Party Policy. When making public statements which are at variance with official Party Policy they must make it clear that they are giving a personal view. Any such statements must be made in a constructive manner and not harm the image of the Party or risk bringing the Party into disrepute.

The fallout for this, which some helpful person has turned into a Downfall parody, was what can only be described as a shed load of emails from the Party Chairman, NEC members and some MEPs, some insulting in nature. I replied asking why Nigel Farage was allowed to publically state he was pro legalisation of drugs. At the time Party Chairman Steve Crowther emailed me to tell me that Nigel's views were 'in line with party policy' showing any argument that I was fired because I support drug legalisation to be a fabrication. When I appeared on Gaydio with Richard Lowe who was also fired from his position as a Parliamentary Candidate for supporting equal marriage the London Chairman for the party seemed to suggest that it was one rule for Nigel, one rule for everyone else.

In fact when Steve fired me he clearly stated it was for policy issues. The only policy I had disagreed with UKIP on (publically and during my time as Chairman) was Equal Marriage. Indeed the fact that UKIP does not seem to be able to come up with one coherent alternative as to why I was removed and has gone with a scattergun approach of 'say as many things as possible in hope that something sticks' only seems to confirm this. Firing a second member for the same reason is the final nail in the coffin.

All this from a party that claims to value free speech and would rather 'eccentrics' and 'free thinkers' than the bland and boring. It seems to me that UKIP support free speech, as long as you are agreeing with them.

And finally am I libertarian? Yes. Am I a hardcore libertarian best described as an Anarcho capitalist? Yes. Are UKIP (despite claiming to be so) ? Absolutely not. I believe that force and coercion are morally illegitimate and that interactions should be voluntary, and have asked philosophical questions about whether it is morally legitimate to ban consensual incest. UKIP knew I held these views years ago, I never advocated them as party policy and they had no role in why I was fired. It begs the question however, if they were ok with me holding these views, but not ok with me being pro Equal Marriage then does that say more about me or them?

UKIP racism and homophobia exposed in the Mirror

Nice to see the Daily Mirror finally repeating what GLW and the Junius Team have been saying for years! It's just a pity that they allowed Farage to get away with his attempts at damage limitation. Have they never heard of Nigel's racist chums in the EFD? How would he defend sitting with people who believe in racial segregation on buses we wonder? LINK

From The Mirror (we include comments by GLW) -

Ugly face of UKIP: Sunday Mirror exposes racist and homophobic views of party members

Official online “members forum” used to express extremist and offensive opinions on gay marriage and paedophilia

Sick: Branch chair Dr Julia Gasper is facing the sack for comments about bestiality

The UK Independence Party has surged to a record high in the opinion polls under its brash leader Nigel Farage.

But a Sunday Mirror investigation today reveals a sickening catalogue of racist and homophobic views held by some of its biggest supporters.

They use the party’s official online “members forum” to express extremist and offensive opinions on issues ranging from gay marriage to bogus links between homosexuals and paedophilia.

Their outbursts are exposed as the party gears up against both the Tories and Labour in next year’s European elections, with its flagship policy that Britain should pull out of the EU.

On the forum, senior UKIP member Dr Julia Gasper branded gay rights a “lunatic’s charter” and claimed some homosexuals prefer sex with animals. She added: “As for the links between homosexuality and paedophilia, there is so much evidence that even a full-length book could hardly do justice to the subject.”

The former parliamentary candidate and UKIP branch chairman in Oxford now faces the sack over her comments.

Tackled about her remarks yesterday, she said: “I’m not going to talk about them. It’s none of your business.”

Lecturer Dr Gasper is just one of many UKIP members who use the forum to vent their controversial views.

A concerned party insider passed on a selection of the shocking outbursts to the Sunday Mirror.

UKIP member Jan Zolyniak posted: “The evidence is quite clear that the percentage of homosexuals who molest children is very high and cannot be dismissed.”

Approached outside his bungalow in Surrey yesterday, Mr Zolyniak claimed his comments were for “research purposes”. He said: “I put those comments up on the website to get responses.”

U.K.I.P. party member Jan Zolyniak at home in West London

Horrific: UKIP member Jan Zolyniak linked homosexuality and child abuse

Another member, Douglas Denny from the Bognor Regis branch in West Sussex, used the forum to attack gay sex as “disgusting”. He wrote: “What irritates me is they (sic) way they and their leftie, neo-Commie followers seem to want to force the rest of us to consider them as normal.

“I just wish they would keep their homosexual nature and practices to themselves and stop trying to ram it down my throat telling me they are ‘normal’ when they are not.”

Yesterday Denny said: “Private forums and private posts should stay private. I have no further comment to make and don’t wish to discuss it with a newspaper.”

Another member complained about the impact of immigration on the NHS, writing: “I am informed by past media that Black Caribbean and not Black African have a higher instance of schizophrenia.

“I wonder if this is due to inbreeding on these small islands in slave times or is it due to smoking grass.”

David Cameron has branded UKIP members as “fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists”. Only last week he called them “pretty odd people”. But UKIP seized a record 16 per cent share in one recent opinion poll and leader Nigel Farage now wants to join the PM, Labour’s Ed Miliband and Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg in TV debates before the next election.

However, our revelations will be a blow to the party’s declaration that it doesn’t tolerate racists or bigots. Last night Labour called on Mr Farage to kick out members guilty of abusive remarks.

Vice-chairman Michael Dugher said: “There is absolutely no place for this kind of nasty racism and appalling homophobia in British politics. UKIP’s leadership should condemn this in the strongest terms.”

Mr Farage said his party did not tolerate racism, but it was against the Government’s plans to allow gay marriage.

He said complaints about abusive remarks would be investigated. But party chiefs were clearly aware of the problem last week when UKIP General Secretary Jonathan Arnott banned a discussion on the site on gay issues.

He wrote of his fears that someone “is going to screenshoot comments and send them to a newspaper”. In the last week, two UKIP members have been forced out of the party for expressing support for gay marriage.

Olly Neville, leader of the party’s youth wing, was stripped of his post for supporting gay marriage in an interview on BBC Radio 4. Richard Lowe, prospective parliamentary candidate for Chester, says he was also forced to resign over the issue.

UKIP was founded in 1993 with a primary objective of withdrawing the UK from the EU. It struggled initially but following the 2009 elections, the party has 12 of the 73 UK seats in the European Parliament. It also has three members in the House Of Lords.

Although UKIP has not yet won a seat in the House of Commons, opinion polls place it above the Lib Dems and they are hopeful of a breakthrough in the 2015 General Election.

We do not welcome racists, insists Nigel Farage

(G.L-W: This is very clearly a lie as Douglas Denny has been a close contact of Nigel Farage for many years and was his Party Secretary over a long period. G.L-W)

UKIP leader Nigel Farage said last night racists weren’t welcome and vowed to investigate complaints.

In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mirror, Euro MP Mr Farage said: “Anybody who makes racist comments isn’t welcome. Anybody with a racist agenda has joined the wrong party.”

(G.L-W.: This is clearly a lie as his own peculiar Pan EU Political Group, of which he is a leader and has forced his Party to be members of for his personal financial and political gain, is The EFD Group who are overtly racist, extremist anti Jewish and anti homosexual with numerous senior members found guilty of assault, corruption, fraud, Holocaust Denial, racism and anti homosexuality he failed even to take any meaningfull action of people under his leadership who openly supported Anders Breivick. G.L-W.)

Asked about racist and anti-gay views on UKIP’s members’ forum, Mr Farage said: “I have never even heard of these people. Julia Gasper is the only one… We’ve had problems with her and her position in the Oxford branch is not acceptable and is being changed. Her war against homosexuals is unacceptable.”

Mr Farage said he would have to “look carefully” at remarks before giving his view but added: “Catholic doctrine could be interpreted as homophobic. If a comment was aggressive towards a group of people, I would condemn it. If it’s people saying they are against gay marriage because they’re Christian, I’d be more tolerant.”

Andreasen v Hamilton - Round Two

And so the very public spat continues.......

From The Telegraph

Ukip MEP Marta Andreasen is threatened with deselection after Neil Hamilton accusations

Marta Andreasen, the Ukip MEP, has been threatened with deselection by Steve Crowther, the party chairman, after she was accused of spreading false rumours.

Nigel Farage and Marta Andreasen in happier times Photo: EDDIE MULHOLLAND

Mandrake’s disclosure on Sunday that Neil Hamilton, who is now a leading member of Ukip, had accused Marta Andreasen, one of the party’s members of the European Parliament of spreading “false rumours” about him and his wife, Christine, has had rapid consequences.

The chairman of the Right-wing party, Steve Crowther, has threatened Andreasen, a former European Commission whistleblower, with deselection. “I am appalled that a senior member of the party should behave in this manner,” he thunders in an email. “You seem unable to work as part of a team or fulfil the commitments you made when adopted as a Ukip candidate.

“You were wrong to state that sitting MEPs will not know whether they are to be reselected until just before the election. The first stage in whatever process is adopted will be for the party to assess, early in 2013, whether its sitting MEPs deserve to be given any further opportunity to represent it in parliament.”

Andreasen had alleged that Hamilton, who was elected to Ukip’s national executive committee last year, and his wife were being lined up for seats in the European Parliament, thanks to manipulation of the selection process for candidates.

“While we learn about this selection procedure, we are also hearing rumours about … the Hamiltons having already been given top positions on the list in  … the South West,” said the Spanish accountant.

Hamilton, who lost the fourth safest Tory seat in Britain after the “cash-for-questions affair”, replied: “As you may know, I am a barrister by profession and a very experienced libel litigant. Your email is defamatory and damaging to Christine and my reputations. We require you to send an apology and retraction.”

In a response that she forwarded to every constituency chairman in the south of England, Andresen said: “Neil’s email is an attempt to deflect from the points that I was making. He has [not] attempted to rebuff the claim that the now highly centralised NEC and the party leader have taken over the placement of candidates on the list in something that I have to say really resembles a totalitarian party.”

She added: “It is disgraceful that, as an elected representative of the British people, I am threatened in such a way following a communication to my voters. Ukip executive should not tolerate this behaviour, but I only get silence from that corner.”

UKIP' Ollygate saga hits the headlines!

Be careful what you wish for!

UKIP's leader wanted mass media coverage. But what was that old saying? Oh yes, you should be careful what you wish for!

Several national newspapers, Channel 4, the BBC and countless websites have all now covered the sacking of Olly Neville as UKIP's youth chairman.

olly neville

You will recall that Olly commited the terrible crime of supporting gay marriage during an interview on BBC's World at One. LINK

This generated the following email response from Steve Crowther - MEP wannabe and Farage sycophant:

"Our policy on Gay Marriage is extremely important to us at this time. We have said specifically and repeatedly that we are opposed to the government’s proposals on this, and that the Prime Minister has got it spectacularly wrong.

“For you to say precisely the opposite, on national radio, as the representative of YI, is absolutely unacceptable, and risks seriously setting back the party’s current growth.”

Mr Neville was then sacked as YI chairman.

Now UKIP makes much of the claim to be libertarian. However, UKIP's libertarianism has always been defined by what Nigel Farage wants. He won't tolerate independent thinking. And if you don't share his narrow minded views and obey his every whim? You're out!

UKIP's libertarianism in relationship to gays is rather strange to say the least. They won't tolerate a member supporting same-sex marriage but will happily tolerate members spreading homophobic views.

Remember Winston McKenzie?

He said that same-sex adoption was child abuse. He added: “It is a violation of a child’s human rights because that child has no opportunity to grow up under normal circumstance.”

And UKIP's response? He was allowed to remain in office. Indeed, he is Nigel's choice to replace Gerard Batten as UKIP's lead MEP candidate in London! LINK

And what UKIP candidate Dr Julia Gasper? She stated that readers of Pink News should be “sectioned” for mental health problems.

UKIP's response? She was allowed to remain a candidate. LINK

Remember Godfrey Bloom's comments to Nikki Sinclaire MEP?  He called her a queer in the EU Parliament. LINK.

UKIP did nothing despite Bloom being censured by the Parliament.

And what of Douglas Denny rant against homosexuals on the UKIP members only forum? He's still on the NEC.

And Roger Helmer MEP ? He once said on Twitter:

Why is it OK for a surgeon to perform a sex-change operation, but not OK for a psychiatrist to try to “turn” a consenting homosexual?

He also described homophobia  a “propaganda device”. He wrote on his blog:
And while we’re mentioning semantic issues, let me point out that the neologism “homophobia” is not so much a word as a political agenda. In psychiatry, a phobia is defined as an irrational fear. I have yet to meet anyone who has an irrational fear of homosexuals, or of homosexuality. So to the extent that the word has any meaning at all, it describes something which simply does not exist.

“Homophobia” is merely a propaganda device designed to denigrate and stigmatise those holding conventional opinions, which have been held by most people through most of recorded history. It is frightening evidence of the way in which political correctness is threatening our freedom.

And yet he was welcomed into UKIP with open arms! Just like Ms Swann! She knows what we mean!

And let us not forget that Nikki Sinclaire won her sexual discrimination case against Farage, Bloom and UKIP. LINK

Of course, UKIP is desparate to spin their way of this mess by claiming that Mr Neville was not sacked for his views on gay marriage. However, Steve Crowther's email - quoted above - proves this to be a lie. We can also confirm that Nigel Farage was the person who ordered his sacking. A senior source in UKIP has told a member of the Junius Team that:

"Nigel said Olly had to go because of his views on gay marriage. Steve had no say in the matter".

We note the Mr Neville has confimed that he has recieved abusive emails from members of UKIP's NEC regarding his views. What lovely people!

We can also confirm that several leading UKIP activists have already resigned in disgust at the treatment of Mr Neville.

On Wednesday morning, YI Yorkshire's chair Arnie Craven and vice chair Christina Annesley both resigned in protest. Annesley defected to UKIP from Conservative Future in early 2012.

Gareth Shanks, a YI elections officer, has tweeted that he had resigned in support. More have threatened to do the same.

In the Independent, Mr Neville said:  "I thought a party that campaigned for democracy and free speech would advocate something similar for its members, especially the youth wing.

"I feel let down and naive. I have always wanted to believe UKIP is the libertarian party it says it is, but with socially conservative candidates getting away with comments that many find abhorrent whilst libertarian members like myself get heavily attacked I can no longer convince myself it truly is."

UKIP now claims that Olly Neville was never elected as UKIP's YI chairman! So was that election all in the minds of those members who voted for him? You really couldn't make this up!

And these chumps want to run the country? Don't make us laugh!

YI Chairman discovers just how democratic UKIP really is!

Olly Neville

Olly Neville was elected chairman of UKIP's tiny youth wing. He received 62% of the 117 votes cast.

Please note that the total of 117 votes cast in the election confirms that YI's entire membership could fit in a VERY small village hall.

Mr Neville soon discovered that UKIP under Nigel Farage doesn't welcome independent thinking. Indeed, any deviation from the 'Nigel Farage line' is quickly dealt with in a manner that Hitler and Stalin would approve of! He was sacked!

And let's not forget that UKIP is full of MEP wannabes who just can't wait to do their master's bidding! Especially when Nigel has the final say on who will join UKIP's MEP lists! LINK

But back to the sacking.

Mr Neville appeared on the BBC's World at One (New Year's Eve) and committed the terrible crime of pointing out that EU elections are a sideshow and the real action is at Westminster.

He committed an even bigger sin by confirming his support for gay marriages. Shocking!

Nigel was far from pleased and got Steve 'Nigel, please make me an MEP' Crowther to send Mr Neville the following email:

The email admits that his views on EU elections was 'realistic' but would damage UKIP because they wanted to use the 2014 elections as a 'springboard for further progress'. We assume Mr Crowther means getting more of Nigel's sycophants - such as Crowther - on the EU Gravy Train. Please note Crowther's confirmation that the EU elections are a sideshow to Westminster. Nigel won't like that going public!

Crowther then goes on to lambaste Mr Neville for giving UKIP's 'opponants' the chance to point out that UKIP has no MPs. Crowther claims that this will give them the chance to describe the party as 'irrevelant'.

So is Crowther hoping that no-one will notice that UKIP has ZERO MPS? Indeed, Farage couldn't even beat a pro-EU candidate in Buckingham. And that's when none of the major parties were contesting it! LINK

The email concludes with condemnation of Mr Neville's views on gay marriages.

My Neville replied on his Twitter account:

YI elections were cancelled after I won the vote due to opposition to me. I won 62% of the 117 votes.

I also have emails of NEC members insulting my intelligence due to what seems to be my support of Equal Marriage

Farage wants a UKIP of free thinkers and prefers interesting eccentrics to the bland and boring. Excellent. http://m.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/jan/07/nigel-farage-party-eccentrics-ukip …

Here is the email confirming Mr Neville's sacking:

Subject: NEC

Date: Tue, 08 Jan 2013 19:11:07 +0000

From: Steve Crowther

To: Olly Neville

Dear Olly

This is to let you know that the NEC has resolved that you should not continue to act as interim chairman of YI, owing to the problems regarding party policy and public statements about which we have corresponded over the past week. The General Secretary will send you the specific resolution.

I suggest that your Vice Chairman take over the coordination of YI activities in the interim, while the rules for the election are finalised and approved by NEC. Perhaps you could ask the VC to make contact with me.

Yours, Steve

So Mr Neville has discovered a very painful fact -

UKIP is a dictatorship where individualism and the right to disagree with the leader are forbidden.

UKIP is a party where Nigel's word is law.

UKIP is a party where you must learn to kiss the leader's arse if you want to get ahead.

As we said before, Hitler and Stalin would be proud!

Godfrey Bloom continues to get more good publicity for UKIP

Serial idiot Godfrey Bloomers - who enjoys the support and protection of  Nigel Farage - was the subject of this interesting article back in December:

UKIP’s Godfrey Bloom MEP “I share a glass of wine a few times a year with Marine le Pen”

Author:

At the start of December, Yorkshire & Humber MEP Godfrey Bloom wrote an article defending his involvement with the European Alliance of Freedom (EAF), a pan-European political party which includes far-right parties from across Europe. Despite Bloom’s active involvement in the EAF, UKIP has a policy of not joining pan-European political parties. He argued that the party, whose executive include the French Front National, Belgian Vlaams

Belang and Austrian Freedom Party, are solely united by their euro scepticism.

However, he then admitted to sharing “a glass of wine a few times a year with Marine le Pen” saying she was a ‘protectionist and socialist’.

Marine Le Pen is the leader of the Front National in France, and the daughter of its founder Jean-

Marie Le Pen, who has been convicted of racism of inciting racial hatred at least six times. In 2010, Marine Le Pen compared Muslims praying in France to Nazi occupiers, and when challenged said

“My comments were absolutely not a blunder, but a completely thought-out analysis.”

Godfrey Bloom was chair of the EAF until last month, when a new board was announced at a press conference in the European Parliament. The new chair is Franz Obermayr from the Austrian Freedom Party, and Marine Le Pen and Belgian MEP Philip Claeys are co-Presidents. Fellow board member is Kent Ekeroth, an MP for the Swedish Democrats.

The leader of the Austrian Freedom Party, Heinz-Christian Strache, was roundly condemned in August this year for posting a cartoon on Facebook similar to anti-Semitic Nazi propaganda. A former FPÖ official is currently facing criminal charges for campaign literature with the slogan

“Love your home country instead of Moroccan thieves”.

Kent Ekeroth is currently ‘taking a break’ from the Swedish Democrats, after footage of him and several key Swedish Democrat politicians on a drunken racist rampage was leaked to the press. The Swedish Democrats also hit the headlines for recently sending a schoolboy a web link showing decapitated bodies in response to a request for their views on Islam.

Philip Claeys is a member of Vlaams Belang, a Flemish separatist party established after its previous incarnation, Vlaams Blok, was dissolved in 2004 for violating race hatred laws. Recent Vlaams Belang campaign literature included a picture of a white sheep kicking a Moroccan Muslim sheep out of Europe.

Bloom appears to have closer views to his fellow EAF members than he admits. He referred to ‘dim-witted Johnny Asiatic’ in a recent article on trade tariffs on Chinese pottery, and was ejected from the parliamentary chamber for shouting Nazi slogans at a German MEP in 2010.

Bloom also stood for UKIP in Humberside for the Police & Crime Commissioner elections in November, coming fourth with 16.06% of the vote.

Totalitarian UKIP exposed by The Telegraph

It's gratify to learn that the national newspapers read this blog and GLW. We were the first and only websites to publish the Hamilton/Andreasen correspondence.

So now even more members of the British public are now aware that UKIP is a dictatorship under the control of one man - Nigel Farage. We are note that the majority of the comments at the end of the article are hardly pro-UKIP!

UKIP's claim to be democratic and libertarian is the biggest joke in British politics! Or should that title go the Hamiltons?

'Totalitarian’ Ukip in furious row involving Neil and Christine Hamilton

Marta Andreasen, the Ukip MEP, says it 'resembles a totalitarian party' after she is accused of spreading 'false rumours' about Neil Hamilton and his wife, Christine.

Riding high in the opinion polls, the UK Independence Party trumpets itself as the new third force in British politics. Some of its most prominent members are, however, struggling to avoid living up to David Cameron’s description of Ukip as a hotbed of squabbling “fruitcakes”.

Mandrake can disclose that one of Ukip’s members of the European Parliament has become involved in an extraordinary row with Neil and Christine Hamilton, who joined the party amid much fanfare in 2011.

Neil Hamilton, who was elected to Ukip’s national executive committee, has threatened to sue Marta Andreasen for spreading “false rumours” about him and his wife.

Andreasen, a Spanish accountant, who became one of the party’s 12 MEPs in 2009, has refused to apologise. Adding insult to injury, the former European Commission whistleblower has forwarded Hamilton’s furious email to every constituency chairman in the south of England.

The dispute centres on Andreasen’s allegation that the Hamiltons are being lined up for seats in the European Parliament, thanks to manipulation of the selection process for candidates.

Hamilton, who lost the fourth safest Tory seat in Britain after the “cash-for-questions affair”, thunders: “As you may know, I am a barrister by profession and a very experienced libel litigant.

Your email is defamatory and damaging to Christine and my reputations. We require you to send an apology and retraction.”

In her email to the chairmen, Andreasen says: “Neil’s email is an attempt to deflect from the points that I was making. He has [not] attempted to rebuff the claim that the now highly centralised NEC and the party leader have taken over the placement of candidates on the list in something that I have to say really resembles a totalitarian party.”

She adds: “It is disgraceful that, as an elected representative of the British people, I am threatened in such a way following a communication to my voters. Ukip executive should not tolerate this behaviour, but I only get silence from that corner.”

True Finns: UKIP's Fascist allies in the EFD

Interesting blog archive devoted to Nigel's racist/fascist colleagues in the EFD:

Nikki Sinclaire MEP on French attitudes to the Eurozone

6 out of 10 of the French regret the loss of the French Franc to join the Eurozone.

In a poll published by French website Atlantico, it was found that 62% of French people now regretted the loss of the French Franc. In 2002, just 39% regretted the loss of the French Franc.

Much of the dissatisfaction at the changeover to the Euro lies in the belief that it caused prices to skyrocket, and the feelings of discontent only grew during the economic downturn which has plagued Europe.

The new results are further proof of Eurosceptic feelings spreading across the Eurozone.

Nikki Sinclaire, who is the We Demand a Referendum MEP for the West Midlands said, “The Euro is a failed political project which has been pushed upon the people of Europe with disastrous consequences.

The Euro simply does not work, but time and time again the EU chooses to put its head in the sand.

It is telling that a country like France is now seeing a rise in Eurosceptic feeling”.

In a poll commissioned by the We Demand a Referendum Party, 56% of people said they wanted a referendum on the UK’s EU membership, while over 60% of Conservative voters now want David Cameron to call a referendum on this vital issue.

Nikki Sinclaire added, “2013 will see the EU discuss bailouts for further Eurozone countries.

How telling it is that the UK, a country from outside the Eurozone, is ridiculed and threatened yet we are expected to contribute to bailout payments because of this failing currency.

It is time for the UK to take a stand and to ask its people once and for all whether they want to be a part of the European Union at all. Let the people decide”.
